Patricia Evans is a documentary photographer based in Chicago. In recent years, she has documented the construction of Millennium Park and the demolition of high-rise public housing. She is on the staff of the Invisible Institute.
She has exhibited and published widely. Her work includes a photos essay on Gypsy families in France, a series of portraits of mothers and daughters, and a study of store-front churches on the South Side of Chicago.
For a decade, she photographed sexual assault survivors as part of The Voices and Faces Project. Her series on sexual assault, an installation of twenty-five photographs, is in the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Photography and traveled around the world for two years with the exhibit, Off The Beaten Path, sponsored by Art Works for Change.
